This site is an educational project for learning and teaching. You can use it freely for study, classes and personal learning. You may not use it for commercial purposes, such as selling a product, charging people for access, or making money from it.

1. What this site is

ytapis is an educational technology (edtech) project. It shows how a website can ask YouTube for information and show the results in a simple, organized way. It is built to help students, teachers and beginners learn how these tools work.

2. Educational and personal use

You may:

• Use the site, the playground and the examples to learn and to study.
• Use them in classes, workshops, tutorials and school or college projects.
• Build small personal experiments and demos for learning.
• Share links to this site, and quote short parts of it with credit.

3. Not for commercial purposes

This site and its hosted service are not intended for commercial purposes. You may not use them to:

• Sell a product or service that uses this site or its hosted service.
• Charge users for access to anything built on it.
• Run ads, sponsorships or paid promotions that depend on it.
• Use it as the backend of a business, a client project or a paid app.
• Resell, rent or sublicense access to the hosted service.
• Collect YouTube data in bulk for a business or for a data product.

If you want to use this work commercially, please contact the people named in section 11 first.

4. The open-source code

The code in the project’s GitHub repository is released under the MIT License. That license is separate from these terms and governs the code itself. These terms cover this website, its documentation and the hosted service it uses.

5. YouTube content and copyright

• Videos, titles, thumbnails, descriptions and captions belong to their creators and to YouTube.
• Always credit the creator and link to the original video.
• Do not download, re-host or redistribute video files.
• You must follow YouTube’s own Terms of Service and copyright rules.

6. Accuracy and availability

Results can be empty, delayed, incomplete or wrong. Some features may stop working when YouTube changes its pages. The service may be changed, paused or ended at any time without notice. Do not rely on it for anything important, such as safety, medical, legal or financial decisions.

7. Other projects

Some projects listed on this site, such as HeySongers, are made by other people. They are not run by this site, and their own terms apply to them.

8. Privacy

• The site does not ask you to create an account.
• The playground sends your search words and video IDs to the API so it can show results. Do not type personal information into it.
• The hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as the time of a request and the page requested.
• The site does not sell personal information.

9. No official link to YouTube

ytapis is unofficial. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by YouTube or Google.

10. No warranty and limits of responsibility

The site and its content are provided “as is”, with no guarantees. To the extent the law allows, the people who built and host this site are not responsible for any loss caused by using it.

11. Who runs this site

Built by geethudino. Hosted by Sree Jeevan. Questions and requests about these terms can be sent through the GitHub repository.

12. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated. The “last updated” date at the top shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
